First of all, do not buy this from Amazon. Buy it straight from Dianne Craft because the Amazon prices are outrageous. I did this program with my daughter 5 days a week 50 weeks a year from the time she was 7 1/2 to the time she was 8 1/2. When we started she could barely read "cat" on one line and then on the next line she would be completely dumbfounded upon seeing it again. Upon completing the program, she was reading on grade level (3rd grade). When tested for attentional problems at the age of 12 they told us that her reading level was that of a college sophomore! She is 14 and we are about to start sending out query letters to publishers as she has finished her first novel (160 pages front and back handwritten). Actually she wrote it at age 12 and it took her 2 years to type it in. I paid probably 50 dollars for this book and it was worth every penny. This program is not lacking in anything, the problem is it runs off of good old fashioned sweat equity and one on one time with your kid/student. PLEASE disregard the reviewers who knocked this book because the printing was not professional enough. Their kids may very well still be non-readers. If you are DESPERATE for your child to read and read well, this is the program for you!
The same Watkins Camphor Ointment that was a mainstay in my house in the '50's. It's good for everything from chapped lips to a wheezy chest. Good products like this never go out of style.
