This bike replaced a 13yo TREK 6500 and I couldn't be happier. The 2012 version of this bike has a few upgrades over the 2011 model most notably, 3x10 gearing and an improved fork/shock. While I had a $1431 budget (moving company payout for crushing my old bike), I decide I didn't need that much bike for the kind of riding I do. This is an XC bike, and that's the kind of riding I will using it for. I live in coastal SC. Forest trails, swampy areas, and the occasional downed tree. I appreciate the lock out front fork for the frequent transitions from asphalt, trails, open forest, and back.
I purchased this book 6-8 weeks before a spring break trip to Gernany with my daughter and it was a highly valuable resource for planning activities and maximizing our time while in Germany - from deciding on rail passes to the importance of packing light, this guide will be your most important single source of information from A to Z. It contains numerous practical and "behind the scenes" tips that were accurate and up-to-date. We just returned from our 10-day trip through Germany and this guidebook was a big reason for the great experiences we had. I also highly recommend the guided walks in major cities - these are nicely described in the book and also are available in the Rick Steves app for your smartphone. This allowed us to visit the major sights in Berlin, Munich, Salzburg, Rothenburg, and the Rhine Valley with our own "personal guide", and we didn't need to pay for any official guided tours. This guide was a small investment that resulted in a large return - a memorable trip that I will treasure for a lifetime.
As my version of Quicken 2011 H&B has a) suddenly stopped connecting with my bank and downloading transactions again and b) will be sunset next year anyway due to Quicken policy, I decided to give 2014 a try, so far the problems are as follows:
PureLYFT energy stir sticks are life! Last week I was sick with a cold and guess what? I still had to go to work. So I took 2 packets of vitamin C and pureLYFT energy stick in the Middle of the day to get me awake again. I usually felt more tired after lunch and it helped me so much!!!
I do have to agree with the one review, this machine did squeak quite often the first few times I used it but after about a week of use it has quieted right down to what it is advertised to be. It is light weight and compact - can fold right down to slide under a bed or even store in an extra closet, which is where I store mine. I use mine everyday - I actually look forward to working out because I own something that I know will keep me active (instead of having to drive to a gym) and give me a total body work out. The machine is great and I highly recommend it!
I'm always looking for hair products that will work with my hair, but this was not one of them. I did like the consistency of the conditioner. It was thick, but not like a cream. It was like the lovechild of a cream and lotion. For leave-in conditioners, I apply it to my hair when it is between wet and damp then let my hair dry in hopes that what I am left with is soft, shiny, non-residue hair. I got none of what I wanted with this product. When my hair dried, it felt like it had a waxy coating and didn't hold any moisture to my hair. I ended up emptying one container and filling it with a homemade shea butter/coconut oil mix and I gave the other one to my mom.
